The 53rd National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition

The competition has three stages. The first two stages are solo recitals, in the final stage the pianists will perform a piano concert selected from among those indicated in the regulations, accompanied by the orchestra. A detailed program and regulations is available here.

The winners of the first two prizes may qualify to participate in the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition by passing the Qualification and Elimination Committee, in accordance with § III/2b of the MKPiFCh Regulations. The winner of the third prize may qualify to participate in the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition bypassing the Qualification Committee, in accordance with § III/2a of the MKPiFCh Regulations. In addition, the winners will be included in the concert and promotion program of The Fryderyk Chopin Institute.

    The collection of accessories promoting the 19th Chopin Competition is available for sale online and at stationary locations - in museum stores in Warsaw and Żelazowa Wola, at Chopin Airport and at the Warsaw Philharmonic, during the Preliminaries.
