Mateusz Dubiel

Born on 13 February 2004, Mateusz Dubiel graduated from the secondary music school in Bielsko-Biała under Anna Skarbowska. He currently studies at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków with Mirosław Herbowsky. He won the National Chopin Competition in Warsaw (2022) and received second prizes at the ‘Jeune Chopin’ Competition in Lugano and the Baltic Competition in Gdańsk (2022). He has taken part in masterclasses led by Lidia Grychtołówna, Andrzej Jasiński, Piotr Paleczny, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Arie Vardi, and Kevin Kenner. He has performed in such venues as the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Żelazowa Wola, the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Centre in Lusławice, Cavatina Hall in Bielsko-Biała, and the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz, as well as the Duszniki-Zdrój Festivals. He has also appeared in Japan, the USA, France, Germany, Lithuania, and Mallorca.
