Simon

Simon Bürki was born on 27 February 2000 and from 2018 to 2020 studied at the Moscow State Conservatoire under Andrei Pisarev. Since 2020, he has been taught by Sergei Babayan at the Juilliard School in New York. He has won the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in Weimar and prizes at competitions in Val-de-Travers, Kiev, Singapore and the Ricardo Viñes Prize in Leiden. He has performed in prominent concert halls in Switzerland and abroad. In 2023, Simon released his debut album ‘Reminiscence’, which includes piano miniatures by Schumann, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin and Rachmaninov.
