Laureates of the 19th Chopin Competition Tour: Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei, Hong Kong, Katowice, and Warsaw
Eric Lu, who recently performed in South Korea, begins his China tour on Friday, November 28th. He will give the first recital in Shanghai – at the impressive, modern home of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the country’s oldest orchestral ensemble, whose origins date back to the 1890s.

The Competition interpretations by Eric Lu released by Deutsche Grammophon

The magic of vinyl
In 2025, during the 19th edition of the Chopin Competition and on the eve of its centennial celebrations, the Fryderyk Chopin Institute begins publishing a new, extraordinary phonographic series – on vinyl, featuring the highest sound quality and beautiful artwork. The series opens with recordings of competition performances by Maurizio Pollini and Janusz Olejniczak, as well as the last concert given in Poland by Artur Rubinstein.

A solemn celebration of Chopin
Lu, Chen, and Wang – the prize-winners of this year’s International Chopin Competition in Warsaw – performed at the Berlin Philharmonie as part of the Meister-Klavierabend (Master Pianists’ Evenings) concert series. This prestigious series brings to the Berlin Philharmonie some of the world’s most distinguished contemporary piano virtuosos: Bruce Liu, Khatia Buniatishvili, Ivo Pogorelich, Jan Lisiecki, and Roman Borisov.The cycle was inaugurated with a special performance by the laureates of the 2025 International Chopin Competition, appearing directly after the Warsaw finals.
