Born on 13 June 1995, he started his piano studies at age eight and at twelve he performed his first recital in Seoul Arts Center. He has been a student of Soo-Jung Shin, Soo-Hyun Jung and Aviram Reichert. He currently studies at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne under Severin von Eckardstein. He has won numerous piano competitions, including 2nd prize at Ewha & Kyunghyang Competition in 2012, 1st prize at the Samick Piano Competition in 2014, 1st prize at the Young Chang Music Competition and 2nd prize of Hong Kong International Piano Competition in 2016. He has performed at music festivals in Cervo, Italy, and the Haus Marteau in Lichtenberg, Germany.
