Born on 16 August 2007, he began his musical studies in Canada under Lee Kum Sing and Sunsung Kong. He is now on a music scholarship at Eton College under Gareth Owen, and earned his Artist Diploma the Prix Cortot under Marian Rybicki at the École normale de musique de Paris 2024. He now studies privately with Wha Kyung Byun. Ryan was named Winner of the 2024 BBC Young Musician prize. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Salle Cortot, on the Ellen Show and on air for RTHK Radio 4, CCTV 4, CBC Music and French Radio Classique. He has played with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
