Born on 14 March 1998, she has graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and a Master’s Degree from the Juilliard School. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts at the Shepherd School of Music, Rice University, under the guidance of Jon Kimura Parker. She won 2nd prize at the 2022 Mieczysław Münz Piano Competition and the 2019 Beijing Chopin Piano Competition. Szu-yu in 2021 took part in the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Warsaw. She is also a recipient of the CHIMEI Arts Award.
