Alberto Ferro
Italy
Born on 1 March 1996. He earned his Master’s degree with honours from the Bellini Conservatory in Catania under Epifanio Comis, and he currently teaches at the Vittadini Conservatory in Pavia. He has won first prize and the audience prize in the Beethoven Competition in Bonn (2017), second prize in the Busoni Competition (2015) and sixth prize in the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels (2016). He has performed across Europe, at venues such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, Herkulessaal in Munich, BOZAR in Brussels, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Gewandhaus in Leipzig and Philharmonie Luxembourg. He has worked with orchestras like the Israel Philharmonic, Filarmonica della Fenice and Belgian National Orchestra, under conductors including Marin Alsop and Thierry Fischer. He has recorded for the Brilliant, Warner, Da Vinci and Muso labels.
