Shiori Kuwahara

Born on October 11, 1995, she graduated with the highest distinction from the University of the Arts in Tokyo (GEIDAI) and in Berlin, where she completed her master’s studies under Klaus Hellwig. In 2022, she received the Steinway Prize in Berlin. She is a second prize winner at several international piano competitions, including the Maria Canals International Music Competition in Barcelona (2016), the Gian Battista Viotti International Music Competition in Vercelli, Italy (2017), the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano (2019), and the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv (2021). She has performed across many European countries, including Poland (Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój), the Czech Republic (at the Dvořák Hall of Prague’s Rudolfinum), Austria, Germany, Israel, Serbia, and Italy, as well as in Japan, Korea, and the USA.
