Jonas Aumiller
Germany
Born on 6 August 1998. He studied under Sergei Babayan at both the Juilliard School in New York and the Cleveland Institute of Music. He won First Prize at the International Brahms Competition in Detmold (2021), and Second Prize along with the Chopin Prize, the Orchestra Prize, and the ‘Massimo Galli Prize’ at the Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition in Monza (2024). In the same year, he received the Silver Medal at the 12th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in Japan. In 2023, he was also awarded the Tabor Award at the Verbier Festival, and in 2022, he received the Silver Medal and the Audience Prize at the 8th Sendai International Music Competition. The pianist has performed across Europe, the United States, and Japan. He has been invited to perform at prestigious festivals in cities such as Schleswig-Holstein, Böblingen, and Bologna, as well as in the Winners & Masters concert series. As a soloist, he has collaborated with the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano. In 2023, he recorded a solo album featuring works by Brahms and Liszt.
Jonas Aumiller is the 2nd prize winner of the International Piano Competition in Hamamatsu in 2024.
